Ousted Thai PM Yingluck defends rice subsidy at criminal trial

Thailand’s draft constitution was rejected by the country’s former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra earlier this week, who was toppled by the military two years ago. On Friday, she arrived at the Supreme Court to give her testimony on a rice pledging scheme case brought against her. Yingluck defended her management of the scheme in court.
