Over 10,000 join ‘big cat’ parade to save Siberian tigers

Russia’s Far East city of Vladivostok on Sunday celebrated its local holiday Tiger Day.

More than 10 thousand people participated in the parade to raise awareness of conservation of the endangered Siberian tiger, also known as the Ambur tiger.

Ambur tiger is one the Far East’s most iconic living creatures. It’s estimated less than 400 of them left in the wild. Tiger day has now become one of the most popular environmental festivals in Russia.
