Over 10,000 refugees arrive in Germany

German authorities said that more than 10,000 migrants and refugees arrived in the city of Munich this weekend. On Friday, both Germany and Austria agreed to open their borders to thousands trying to reach western Europe. Frontex, the EU border agency, says more than 340,000 asylum seekers have entered the 28-nation bloc this year, the majority fleeing war and human rights abuses in Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia and Eritrea.
