Philippine national police chief Ronald dela Rosa says about 1,900 people have been killed during a seven-week crackdown on illegal drugs. Dela Rosa said around 750 of the dead were killed in police operations. The other deaths were being investigated. He added that about 300 police officers were suspected of being involved in the drugs trade.
