China will celebrate its week-long National Day holiday in less than a week. China Tourism Academy predicts about half the Chinese population are likely to make travel plans, either domestically or abroad. It says tourism revenue may jump to over 480 billion yuan, an increase of 13.5 percent from last year. Beijing’s Forbidden City, Hangzhou’s West Lake, Shanghai Disneyland, and Yunnan Province’s Lijiang city are among the popular tourist destinations for the holidays. Neighboring countries such as Thailand, Japan, South Korea and Singapore will also see an influx of Chinese tourists. Passenger flow will start from September 30 until October 3.
