Panda baby born in Malasysia gets a warm name

The baby giant panda born in Malaysia last year was named “Nuan Nuan”, which means “warm” in Chinese on Thursday.

The name is seen as a symbol of the warm relations between Malaysia and China.

The name was chosen from the 22,830 suggestions collected from a naming competition from November to December last year.

The winner of the naming competition, who’s a school teacher, says the name is in line with the warm character of giant pandas as well as the warm relations between the two countries.
