Panda power invades Bangkok

On Friday, 1,600 paper pandas took over Bangkok’s Sanam Luang square as a part of the “1600 Pandas” exhibition. Designed by French artist Paulo Grangeon and made from recycled paper, the pandas represent the total number of wild pandas in the world today. The exhibition, which is co-directed by the World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF), has been on a world tour since 2008 to raise awareness on wildlife conservation.
