Paralympics Opening ceremony: Rio 2016 Games underway at sell-out crowd in Maracana

The first Paralympics ever hosted by a South American country got underway in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday. More than 4,000 athletes from about 160 countries and regions will compete in 534 events in the Rio Paralympic Games, which officially opened at the Maracana Stadium on Wednesday. The Opening Ceremony was a sold out event, and the colorful gala got the Games going with samba dancers, parading wheelchairs, and giant balloons.
