The Pentagon on Tuesday said it is prepared to “work with Congress to resolve” any differences over US President Barack Obama’s plan to close the Guantanamo Bay prison. Republican leaders in Congress showed no interest in having that conversation, but Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook said he hopes the plan is a “starting point” for discussion on the matter.
