People use rope to pull back vehicles trapped in surging river

After being battered by torrential rains that started on June 2, part of the Duliu River that flows across Congaing county in southwest China’s Guizhou Province suddenly surged, swallowing dozens of vehicles parked on the roadside near the county’s pier. Local police and crowds had to work together to pull the flooded vehicles back to the bank with ropes, losing only a truck that was washed away.
