Pedro Pablo Kuczynski was on track to become Peru’s next president on Thursday after a near-final vote tally. The National Office of Electoral Processes said Kuczynski won 50.12% of all tallied votes over 49.88% for Keiko Fujimori, the daughter of a jailed former president. It leaves Fujimori trailing Kuczynskiby by 41,438 votes. However, thousands of disputed or unclear ballots remain uncounted.
