Peter Mukerjea Under CBI Custody For 3 Days | Sheena Bora Murder Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was today granted three-day custody of NewsX co-founder Peter Mukerjea in connection with Sheena Bora murder case. CBI today pressed charges of criminal conspiracy against Mukerjea in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case. Charge of destruction of evidence was also added in the chargesheet against him. “Peter played an active role in the commission of offence,” CBI reportedly told court. CBI also told the court that he had lied to his son, and that he had contacted Indrani during the crime. Reportedly, the CBI has cited the telephonic conversations of Peter with his son to press charges against him. Peter was arrested by the CBI yesterday following a confessional statement by Indrani Mukerjea’s driver Shyamvar Rai, who had told the court about Peter’s alleged role in the murder. Meanwhile, the judicial custody of the accused trio in the case – Indrani Mukerjea, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her driver Shyamvar Rai – has been extended till December 3.
