The spokesperson of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lu Kang, has said Chinese officials are coordinating with their counterparts in Manila for a planned visit by the president of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte. He noted that China is looking forward to Duterte’s visit as early as possible, adding that there are no difficulties that cannot be overcome between the two countries as long as both sides maintain the will to solve problems. Duterte had previously announced he would visit China and Japan in October.
