Philippines presidential elections: Partial tally shows Duterte taking strong lead

Officials in the Philippines have begun counting votes, with the first unofficial tally giving Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte a strong early lead in the presidential race. Based on 60 percent of registered voters’ ballots, Duterte received over ten million votes, followed by Grace Poe and Manuel Roxas, each at some six million votes.
