An Mi-28 helicopter crashed at an airshow in central Russia’s Ryazan Region, killing one of the two pilots. The other pilot managed to escape the burning wreckage before being taken to the hospital. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire at the scene.
The crash was reportedly caused by fireworks that led the back rotor of the helicopter to stop turning properly. The deceased pilot reportedly struggled to save the helicopter without success, leading to the crash.
