The Delhi High Court today observed that the plea seeking stay on Delhi government’s Odd-Even scheme to curb pollution, was “premature”. The High Court refused to intervene in the case. The court stated that the scheme was on a trial basis and hence the court would not intervene in the matter. In a radical step to curb air pollution, the city government on Friday had announced that private vehicles bearing odd and even registration numbers will be allowed to ply only on alternate days starting January 1.
