PM Modi launches “Digital India” program

India has unveiled a program to digitally connect the country via an investment of $71 billion dollars. Prime Minister Narendra Modi vows that under the “Digital India” plan, 250,000 villages will enjoy broadband connectivity and universal phone connectivity by 2019. The program includes initiatives such as Digital Locker, E-education, E-health, and other government’s E-services.
