Ceremonies were held on Thursday in Poland to mark the 71st anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. Germany occupied Poland for 6 years during World War Two. Survivors of the camp came to pay their respects to victims, alongside Polish President Andrzej Duda and his Croatian counterpart Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic.
