Police urge parents to hold children’s hands tightly near roads

Police in southwest China’s Sichuan Province released two video clips on International Children’s Day to raise awareness of traffic safety issues. The clips show children being knocked down by speeding cars because their parents weren’t paying enough attention.

Fortunately both children survived, but many other youngsters aren’t so lucky. Some 98 children in Sichuan Province have been killed or injured due to traffic accidents this year. The local police urged parents to hold their children’s hands tightly when near roads.
