Portraits winning BP Portrait Award 2016

The BP Portrait Award 2016 was announced at the National Portrait Gallery on Thursday.

This video shows you the prized portraits.

Clara Drummond’s painting of Girl in a Liberty Dress wins the first prize of the award, while Chinese artist Wang Bo’s work of Silence garnered the second prize.

The third prize of went to artist Benjamin Sullivan, a portrait of the poet Hugo Williams painted in the study of his Islington home.

It’s the first time for a Chinese artist to win the prize.
