Portugal’s Guterres ‘humbled’ to be next UN chief

Former Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Guterres says he is humbled to be named the next UN secretary-general following a unanimous vote in the United Nations Security Council. The 67-year-old has served the UN as High Commissioner for Refugees for 10 years. The General Assembly is expected to meet next week to approve his five-year appointment.
