Premier: China’s economy not changed, no intention of currency war

Premier Li met with World Economic Forum Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab and global business leaders on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Li said the basis for a generally stable development of China’s economy was not changed.

Li also said China is unwilling to see a currency war, as it will be harmful to China. He said that China has no intention of boosting export through the depreciation of yuan.

According to the premier, the country’s export businesses also want the yuan to remain stable at an equilibration level.
