Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani says a peace agreement with one of the country’s most notorious warlords is close to being finished. Ghani called it a major step towards peace and the end of fighting with Gulbuddin Hekmatyar. Hekmatyar heads the now largely dormant Hezb-i-Islami militant group. He is accused of killing thousands of people in Kabul during the civil war in the 1990s.
