President Pranab Mukherjee today met Geeta, who returned to India after over 10 years, at Rashtrapati Bhawan in Delhi. The members of the Edhi Foundation were also present at the meeting. Soon after the meeting president Pranab Mukherjee tweeted, “You are the daughter of both our countries, a symbol of India-Pakistan unity.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also met Geeta, yesterday at his official 7, Race Course Road (RCR) residence here. Modi had announced Rs 1-crore contribution for Edhi Foundation, the Pakistani organisation that took care of Geeta during her 15-year stay in the country.
