President Xi on Sunday arrived in Warsaw, capital of Poland, on the second stop of his three-nation Eurasia tour, marking the first Chinese state visit to Poland in 12 years. Poland sent fighter jets to escort Xi’s plane once it entered the country’s airspace. Upon landing, the president and his wife Peng Liyuan were greeted by Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski at the airport. During his stay in Warsaw, President Xi is scheduled to hold talks with his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda. The two sides are expected to sign agreements in areas including finance, civil aviation, science and technology, and education.
