Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in London at 8 p.m. local time on Monday for his first state visit to Britain, a trip expected to boost bilateral ties to enter a “golden era”. President Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan were welcomed by the British Foreign Minister Philip Hammond. The state visit, which is the first by a Chinese president since 2005, will last until Friday.
