President Xi meets New Zealand’s Prime Minister

Chinese President Xi Jinping has met visiting New Zealand Prime Minister John Key – he vowed closer economic ties between the two countries. Xi said China has always seen New Zealand as an important partner in terms of economic cooperation. China is willing to enhance communication with New Zealand on significant international and regional issues under the framework of the G20, APEC and other platforms, to further promote interconnectivity in the Asia-Pacific region.
