Belgian authorities have released the identity of the attacker responsible for a machete attack that wounded two policewomen. The incident appears to be the latest in a string of jihadist attacks in Europe. Belgian prosecutors say the attacker was a 33-year-old Algerian national, known to police for criminal acts, though having no previous links to terrorism.
