Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh for tea to discuss GST due to public pressure. “It is quite natural that they should talk to the opposition, but the PM has invited Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh only after public pressure. This was not his intent and this is not the way he functions,” Gandhi told reporters in New Delhi. In order to break the impasse over the Goods and Services Tax (GST) bill, Modi today invited the Congress leaders at his Race Course Road residence at 7 PM. There has been no confirmation yet from the Congress if the two leaders are attending.
