Early inspection of data from global positioning sets (GPS) carried by terrorists who carried out Monday’s attack in Gurdaspur, Punjab suggests that the group launched its operation from across the border in Pakistan’s Shakargarh area. The terror team is thought to have left a safe house on the fringes of Gharot, a village not far from the Pakistani town of Shakargarh. GPS sets recovered from the terrorists have been sent to Delhi for Technical Analysis. According to reports, the GPS is sent to the laboratories for the examination which could really tell origination of the place. The police sources have said that three GPS sets, four AK 47 rifles, one grenade launcher, five hand grenades and 225 live cartridges were recovered from the area.
