Race against time: Fast-track channel to benefit organ transplant

On a recent morning, a donated lung was safely stowed in Qingdao – it was 6 a.m. By 7:20 a.m.,  a medical team rushed it to the local airport to be flown to Shanghai. The flight arrived about 30 minutes earlier in Shanghai where the team scheduled to take the organ to WuXi People’s hospital via the nearest high-speed rail train. It was 10:30 a.m. then, four and a half hours since the organ removed.
