Rahul Gandhi Visits Demolition Site In Delhi

Amid political fight over Delhi demolition drive Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday (December 14) visited Shakur Basti Railway Colony which was demolished by railways yesterday. Rahul met the affected families and took a stock of the situation. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi was engaged in a verbal battle with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. “Why they (AAP) are protesting? Jhuggis are being demolished in AAP-ruled state,” questioned Rahul. However, Kejriwal hit back at Rahul Gandhi by calling him a ‘kid’. “Rahul Gandhi is a kid. Perhaps his party hasn’t told him that Railways come under Centre not state government.” Meanwhile, AAP has moved an adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha over Shakur Basti demolition issue. The Delhi CM will also take up the issue with Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu.
