Rainfall slows down recovery efforts in Hunan

Heavy rainfall continues to hinder cleanup efforts in a village hit by a landslide in central Hunan Province. Rocks and mud from a mountain overhead continue to rain down on the village in Guzhang county. Efforts to restore the local railway and electricity supply are underway. The landslide, which occurred on Sunday, was caused by heavy and continuous rains. It damaged wooden houses at the bottom of the mountain and forced the closure of roads.
