Rajnath Singh Appeals To Haryana Residents To Maintain Peace And Order

Describing the protests in Haryana as an extremely unfortunate incident, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh expressed condolence to the family of the deceased in the violent protests and requested people to maintain peace in the state. “I appeal to all my brothers and sisters of Haryana to maintain peace in the state. India is a democratic country. Violence can’t provide solution to any problem in a democracy. If there is a problem, we can sit together and find a solution,” said Rajnath. Tension prevailed in Meham in Rohtak district of Haryana, which has been worst hit by the Jat stir for quota, after a mob of about 2000-2500 people went on the rampage setting on fire a police station, a petrol pump, a government building and a banquet hall today.
