Hundreds of thousands are expected to take part in rallies in Germany against the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), the trade deal between the US and the EU. Protests have been scheduled in seven cities, including German capital Berlin and the economic hub Frankfurt. The deal seeks to establish the world’s largest free trade market. But opponents doubt the benefits of free trade, worrying about the lowering of product standards.
