Mount Emei, a mountain in Sichuan Province, China, saw the rare phenomenon of summer snow recently. The unseasonal flurry, which arrived on the night of May 14 and ended the next morning, left a layer of snow 3-10 cm deep. The unusual yet splendid scene wowed visitors – they came to see the Buddha, but also enjoyed the rare sight of a snow-covered mountain in May.
