Rarely seen wild panda spotted in Sichuan forest park

Two rangers on patrol discovered a wild panda at the Jiajinshan National Forest Park in Baoxing county, southwest China’s Sichuan Province. One of the rangers recorded the moment with his cellphone, as the panda walked along the road before entering the forest. It is estimated there are less than 2,000 giant pandas living in the wild, making it one of the most endangered species in the world. Most of them live in isolated patches of bamboo forests in mountain ranges of China’s Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu provinces.
