Covering an area of 28 acres, the Orman Park in Giza is one of the largest botanical gardens in the world.
The garden was built more than a hundred years ago. It was designed in French style of natural garden, and boasts a collection of rare and valuable trees and ornamental palms.
The Orman Garden was created in the reign of Khedive Ismail in 1873 to supply fruits to the royal palaces. It was part of the Palace of the Khedive and who knew at the time “Sarayat Giza.”
