A 10-day Kung Fu show by Chinese monks was kicked off on August 24 at the Municipal Theatre in Santiago, Chile, with more than 15 presentations in all in four cities of the country.
“We started in 1995 and meanwhile we played in five continents, which means we have supplied every continent except Asia, because for Asians this show is not made for Asians. They know a lot about Kung Fu and I don’t have to explain it to them. So we had five million viewers in the last 21 years.”
Austrian producer and writer Herbert Fechter initiated the project of The Mystical Powers of Shaolin Kung Fu in 1994 to present a form of traditional Chinese culture in a Western show format.
