RAW: First winter cycling parade in Moscow

Thousands of cyclists braved the cold to participate in Moscow’s first winter cycling parade on Saturday.

The event featured fancy-dressed cyclists and different models of bicycles including road, mountain, urban cruisers, tandems, unicycle, foldable and others.

With the temperature at about minus 15 degrees Celsius, the cyclists rode along the Moskva river, past the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and the Kremlin, covering a distance of about 14 kilometers.

The path is almost identical to the route of the first bicycle parade held in Moscow in 2012.
