RAW: ‘Iskander’ ballistic missile system tests accuracy at Russia’s Centre-2015 drills

The mobile short-range ballistic missile system “Iskander” demonstrated remarkable accuracy at Centre 2015 drills in Orenburg region.

First presented in 1999 at the MAKS aerospace show, the Iskander’s range varies from 280-500 km (173-310 miles) and the system possesses the ability to carry nuclear warheads.

The Centre-2015 excercises, Russia’s biggest of the year,took place from September 14 to September 20.

About 95,000 military personnel, and some 7,000 pieces of military equipment, including 170 aircraft and 20 ships were involved.
