RAW: Moscow donates puppy to France after police dog dies in Saint-Denis raid

Russia’s Interior Ministry donated a German Shepherd puppy named Dobrynya to the French police after Diesel, a 7-year-old Belgian Malinois, was killed during a raid in Saint-Denis, north of Paris on Wednesday.

The footage released by on Saturday showed Dobrynya playing with Russian police in Moscow.

A representative of the Russian Interior Ministry said the puppy would be transferred to France to show solidarity with the French people and their police in the fight against terrorism.

The raid in Saint-Denis has killed three terror suspects believed to be in connection with the Paris attacks on November 13 that left at least 129 people dead and more than 350 injured.
