Around 1,200 square metres of a Russian Defence Ministry office roof collapsed in Moscow on Sunday.
The fire covered an area of 3,500 square meters because of the old floorboards and strong wind.
The Emergency Situations Ministry sent 253 people and 72 vehicles, including 17 lifting mechanisms to put out the fire.
The building is the former headquarter of the Defense Ministry in central Moscow near the Kremlin, with several departments in charge of procurement and other services located inside.
According to the ministry, the fire will not affect its core operations since key departments have already moved to the new buildings.(video:courtesy of RUPTLY)
