Rebels evacuate last stronghold in Syria’s Homs under truce deal

Some 700 people, including 300 rebels fighters, boarded buses on Wednesday in al-Waer in west of Homs.

The evacuation is carried out under a rare local ceasefire deal reached between the Syrian government and the rebels at the start of December.

Once the rebels’ evacuation is completed, the Assad regime will regain the total control of the city.
