A southwestern Chinese city has seen more arrivals of seagulls this winter.
So far, the number has broken a three-decade record.
Dianchi Lake Basin in Kunming, captial of southwest China’s Yunnan Province, is an ideal winter habitat for seagulls.
This winter, the basin has seen arrivals of about 40,500 seagulls, some 1,000 more than the number of the last year.
It also set a new record of the past 31 years.
They mainly migrated from Lake Baikal in Russia, Uvs Nuur Basin in Mongolia, and Bosten Lake in far west China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
