Refugees to Europe face more hurdles as weather worsens

EU leaders committed at a weekend summit to helping the Balkans deal with the flow of people making their way through the region en route to more prosperous European countries. But tens of thousands of asylum seekers could face even more hurdles after European Union leaders pledged to keep many of them out by introducing tighter border controls. Migrants and refugees, including many women, children and elderly have been waiting in freezing weather conditions at a camp in Slovenia to board buses that will take them to Austria.
