China extended its lead at the top of the medal standings on day 2 of Rio 2016 Paralympics by bagging 13 golds. Hu Dandan prevailed in the women’s under 45 kilogram division. The 27-year-old lifted 108 kilograms to beat her own world record and win gold. In the men’s 100m backstroke, S-2 category, Zou Liankang won gold and broke the world record. Another gold for China came in the men’s 50m freestyle, S-7 category. In the women’s 100m, T-54 category, Liu Wenjun crossed the line first in less than 16 seconds. In shooting, Yang Chao dominated the men’s 10m air pistol, SH-1 category.
