Rio unveils torch of Paralympics 2016

The torch of Paralympics 2016 was unveiled on December 11 Rio de Janeiro with a design celebrating diversity and equality.
The torch’s sinuous curves represent the highs and lows in the life of Paralympics athletes, highlighting their determination and achievements, said a statement on the official website of the games.
Its quadrangular shape refers to the four values of Paralympics, namely courage, determination, inspiration and equality.
The Paralympics 2016 in Rio will be staged from September 7 to 18 following a torch relay through Brazil that starts on September 1.
