Robots used in chemical disaster drill

Exploded oil tanks, raging fire, and a huge plume of smoke billowing up to sky…

This seemingly disastrous scene is, fortunately, not a disaster, but an emergency rescue drill that takes place in Harbin, capital of northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province.

Robots are introduced in the rescue mission.

With the help of these hi-tech gadgets, the fire has been put out in just 10 minutes.

The three-day drill, kicked off on Tuesday, involves 240 rescuers across China.

It is organized by the State Administration of Work Safety.
