Russia: 3rd party intervention raises tensions in South China Sea

Russia says any intervention from a third party in the South China Sea will only raise tensions in the region. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said developments in the South China Sea are closely related to security and stability in the western Pacific. Zakharova urged all related parties to continue using political and diplomatic approaches, and to hold direct discussions without using force.
